Kristen Donegan is a former K–2 teacher and Reading Specialist with 13 years of classroom experience, a single mama of two, and a classroom efficiency ninja! Since 2010, she’s been helping teachers just like you implement practical classroom hacks to save time, get organized, and finally find that magical thing called work/life balance.


Through her website Easy Teaching Tools, her Real Teacher Talk podcast, her time-saving resources, and her upcoming Organized Teacher Tool Kit book (coming in 2026), Kristen supports thousands of teachers around the world. She also presents at professional development events nationwide and leads popular programs like Easy Organization Tools and The Organized Teacher Club to help teachers make life in—and out of—the classroom a whole lot easier.

Teaching is my passion...

Hey friend! I’ve enjoyed teaching kindergarten, first grade, a 1/2 combo, and second grade.  I've taught at both a low and high-performing Title I schools as well as a few fancy schools in California and O'ahu, Hawaii. I've earned my Master's Degree in Education with an emphasis in reading in addition to my Reading Specialist Certificate.  When I am not teaching my scholars or other educators at Professional Development classes, I  enjoy creating materials to share with my colleagues, organizing family literacy events, and giving workshops on ways to make Literacy Workshop effective and engaging.  
 
Non-teaching related, I love being outdoors hiking, running, or surfing.  I love traveling and have been to many amazing tropical places around the world.  I started Easy Teaching Tools in 2007 after an abundant amount of positive feedback from my colleagues.  Before I knew of Teachers Pay Teachers, I would sell my resources on blog and mail out hard copies to teachers.
