Currently…November

I'm linking up again with Farley at Oh boy, 4th grade for another fun “Currently.”  How is it already November???  This year is just zooming on by.  I am in the middle of hosting a HUGE giveaway with 20 bloggers!  Have you entered yet?
This is my contribution.  My kiddos began these activities during Literacy Workshop and are loving them!
I just spent over 2 hours working on a fun giveaway I'm hosting and am up for a break!  How many of you watch “The Real Houswives?”  I watch them all.  I KNOW, it's terrible but I can't help myself.  I've DVRd and watched every episode of every city of every season!
I'm loving the time change tonight because I get a little extra sleep.  But I know I won't be a happy camper when I have to commute home an hour in the dark tomorrow.
I don't know about you but these kiddo germs are really getting to me.  I've been sick on-and-off for about 2 months.  I've taken 2 rounds of antibiotics and think I may head to the doctor this week because this coughing, sneezing, and fever is ridiculous.  What do you do to keep the germs away???
I absolutely love teaching and I love my class.  But I'm very much looking forward to Thanksgiving break.  I started school around August 16th and need a little R&R.  When did you start school?
I'm not the best when it comes to Pinterest, but all my girlfriends get all their recipes from it. I've tried this one a few times and it's super easy and so delish.  It's great when you are hosting a big breakfast because it's basically zero-prep, which gives you more time with your family.
I like it spicy, so I prefer using the hot sausage.  If you want to be healthier, try the turkey sausage, my fave!
My name is Kristen and I’ve enjoyed teaching kindergarten, first grade, a 1/2 combo, and second grade.  I’ve taught at both a low and high-performing Title I schools as well as a few fancy schools in California and O’ahu, Hawaii. I’ve earned my Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in reading in addition to my Reading Specialist Certificate.  When I am not teaching my scholars or other educators at Professional Development classes, I  enjoy creating materials to share with my colleagues, organizing family literacy events, and giving workshops on ways to make Literacy Workshop effective and engaging.
