How in the world is it already October??? I’ve already been in school for 35 days…what??? I love cute writing paper, especially since student writing is posted all over our room. I created these little packet to engage your sweet writers. I use this paper as part of our daily journal writing, thematic writing, and so much more. With my combo class, I’m so excited to use this as part of our October’s writing-process piece. I think this month, students will write a Halloween narrative! They are just loving writing and are getting the hang of using complete sentences with correct punctuation. I know they’ll love this! You should have seen the look on their adorable faces when their brand new “October” journal was waiting on their desk for them this morning. They absolutely loved the journal cover complete with kiddos decorated in their Halloween costumes. Check it out!

I started watching The Voice earlier tonight too. I've always been an American Idol "closet fan" so I'd like to watch it more to see how it compares. I think educators face that dilemma of balancing family and work life more than any other career since preparing lessons is literally a never ending task.
