Monday Made It: Crazy with Spray Paint, Numbered Clothespins, and Vegas

Since I have a plan for next year, my mind simply won't shut off.  Normally during the summer, I travel to somewhere tropical and spend a lot of time at the beach.

This summer, I've decided to create pretty things.  I've put away my passport and transformed into a Spray Paint Queen.  I linked up with Tara to share what I've been up to.
I dyed clothespins last year using RIT dye.  The colors didn't come out the way I intended so I decided to spray paint clothespins this year.  I bought 2 cans at Lowe's for about 4 bucks each.

Because everyone needs a selfie with spray paint, right?  My blog makeover seriously inspired me to use these colors everywhere.
Clothespins
I took the clothes pins {50 of 'em} out of the package and laid them out. I kept them clipped to the cardboard that they came on.
I just sprayed the clips and left them in the sun for about 30 minutes.  They dried quickly so I flipped them over and kept on spraying! {These look red, but they're a pretty bubblegum pink}.
I couldn't stop myself so I found more things to spray!  My pup is lucky he was napping, otherwise he probably would've been sprayed too!
I put newspaper down and set out my file holder and sprayed away.
This black file organizer seems so “office space” and needed a facelift!
I think my desk is going to be so pretty, which may inspire me to keep it organized and clutter free {highly doubtful but wishful thinking}.
This tray is my MOST favorite makeover.  Is it normal to be this excited about spray paint???  I think I have a problem, seriously!
But is this not the cutest!  I can't even wait to set up my new desk space.
I don't love my writing and want my class to look put together so I bought number stickers at Michales for 2 bucks.  I grabbed my freshly painted clips and I put the stickers on the inside of the sticker since kiddos will be grabbing the outside of the clip and I don't want them to fall off. I'm sure I'll mod podge them on at some point if need be!
I think they turned out pretty great!
Here they are on the clip chart.
You can grab the fun chart here!
I also ordered cute buttons for the TpT Vegas conference for my roomies!  I love them!  I bought them on Zazzle.  You can order anything until the 4th of July using the code INDEPENDENCE to receive 17.76% off!  Plus, if you sign up for their “club” {which you can cancel}, you'll get free shipping.
I also made this cute notebook to bring to Vegas! It was pretty cheap on Vista Print and will be put to good use.
I customized it with Lovin' Lit's digital papers and my logo.  I even added a calendar to the front and back inside covers.
Courtney from Ramona Recommends and I are hosting a cocktail party {instead of the dinner}.  You can win prizes from some great bloggers like Ideas by Jivey, Keeping Life Creative, Sweet Sounds of Kindergarten,  Saddle Up for 2nd grade {Jamberry Nails} and so many more so stay tuned.  Many of you are in love with Erin Condren's Teacher Planner.  She has graciously offered a gift card to win a planner of your own.  We hope you can make it!

  1. Kristen – You have been so busy. I love all of your spray painting creations and vista print items. I hope you have a blast in Vegas. I'm so jealous of all your traveling you did in the past summers. Sounds amazing.

  2. All of your spray painting inspires me to do some of my own. Last summer I sprayed some frames, clothespins, popsicle sticks (easy stuff that can be replaced if I messed up). Now I think I am going to spray paint my filing cabinets, wire racks and SO MUCH MORE! 🙂
