Some of my "Back to School" finds so far!

You're probably a lot like me. Obsessed with the dollar bins at Target, the stationary section at Michael's, and the organization section at Big Lots. Here are some of my fave finds so far!

Loving all the decorative tape I saw at Target. Great to line containers, book shelves, and bulletin boards. But I'm most excited about washi tape, it's all the rage! Amazing to cover clothespins, supply baskets, and so much more!!!

I love pens and markers that are fun colors! Thank you Sharpie!
Told you, the Dollar bin is my weakness. Excited about these cubbies I'll use for puppets/reading buddies for my library. I'm also excited about these magnets, hoping they're sturdy! The Dr. Seuss die-cuts will be used for “Read Across America” activities in the winter.

Dollar bin madness, so many choices!!!

Yep, those are squeaky chew toys from Petsmart!!! {blogging about them soon!!!}

Great to get your kiddos' attention, because you know after awhile, they WILL tune you out!

My name is Kristen and I’ve enjoyed teaching kindergarten, first grade, a 1/2 combo, and second grade.  I’ve taught at both a low and high-performing Title I schools as well as a few fancy schools in California and O’ahu, Hawaii. I’ve earned my Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis in reading in addition to my Reading Specialist Certificate.  When I am not teaching my scholars or other educators at Professional Development classes, I  enjoy creating materials to share with my colleagues, organizing family literacy events, and giving workshops on ways to make Literacy Workshop effective and engaging.
